pooja Shah

Pooja Shah is highly skilled hairstylist and educator with over two decades of industry experience. She began her journey in 2004, training at Vidal Sassoon Academy in her hometown of Los Angeles. In 2006, she moved to New York City to join Bumble and Bumble, where she honed her craft as both a stylist and educator.

From 2013 to present, Pooja is a key member of the Living Proof Global Creative Team, where she taught cutting and styling classes, trained educators and played a pivotal role in developing curriculum and look books. Between 2018 to 2024, she also co-owned Common Good NYC, in the East Village, further cementing her influence in the industry.

She is a team member of Deft Hair Pros, founded in 2025. A traveling in-salon education company, known for delivering elevated training in cutting and styling to teams across the country. @defthairpros

She joined the team at Benjamin NYC in January 2025.
